Sound Has a Formula
4-2-1 Design. Not marketing — physics.
What is 4-2-1?
Four cylinders, four exhaust pulses. If they arrive together, they oppose each other. If they arrive in sequence, they amplify each other — that's scavenging. The 4-2-1 is engineered to maximize this effect at the RPMs that matter.
See How Scavenging Works
The Physical Principle
Every time an exhaust valve opens, it generates a pressure wave. In 4-2-1 design, tube lengths are calculated to create a "scavenging" effect — the pressure wave from the previous cylinder helps extract gases from the next cylinder.
The Benefits
Complex construction — requires superior technical expertise
More linear torque — power distributed across the entire rev range
Distinctive sound — the typical high-pitched note of Italian V8s
“Every header we build is calculated specifically for that engine. There are no universal solutions.”
Why Dimensions Matter
Primary tube length is not random. Every millimeter is calculated based on the specific engine's valve timing. Change the engine, change the measurements. That's why every header is developed individually.

Performance You Can Hear
A poorly designed manifold chokes the engine and produces chaotic noise. A Lettieri 4-2-1 unleashes the torque curve and transforms exhaust gases into music. It's not a side effect — it's the design.

Thermal Insulation
Silica felt wrapping protects surrounding components from heat damage while keeping exhaust gases hot for optimal flow velocity.
